Modifying the Trusted Publisher whitelist
The Webroot software includes a list of pre-approved software vendors in a Trusted Publisher whitelist and allows activity associated with their applications. For your convenience, you can add other software vendors to this list so that their application activity is always allowed and alerts are suppressed.
*
To add a vendor to the Trusted Publisher list, the Webroot software must be able to verify the software publisher’s certificate.
To edit the Trusted Publisher list:
1.
In the Icon panel, click Firewall.
2.
Click the Applications tab.
3.
Click Trusted Publishers at the bottom right.
A list of software publishers opens in a dialog box, as shown in the following example.
4.
To include a new software publisher, click Add.
Windows Explorer opens and allows you to select from executable files or command files.
5.
Select the application’s executable file name and click Open.
The publisher of the application is added to the list.
If you want to remove any publishers from the list, select the publisher name in the list and click Remove.
6.
When you’re done editing the list, click OK.
